Improving Access to Mentoring
Grad Student Academy provides PhD students with the unwritten knowledge and skills needed to be successful in publishing their research. Our mission is to provide high-quality mentorship for all doctoral students and postdocs, particularly those from traditionally underrepresented groups.
We believe that all PhD students are capable of success. Unfortunately, many will not succeed because they aren’t formally taught the hidden curriculum for publishing. We seek to level the playing field by making this hidden curriculum available for all through our programs and courses.

Message from our Founder
Hi, my name is Joseph and I am the founder of Grad Student Academy. As a former university professor, I learned that many graduate students and postdocs don’t have the adequate tools, resources, and support to achieve their goals. I launched Grad Student Academy out of a deep desire to make high-quality mentoring easily accessible for doctoral students everywhere.
We champion graduate students' growth by providing tailored mentorship to help them reach their potential.
